What Do I Need to Know About X-Rays?

An X-ray, aka a radiograph, is a common medical imaging study that uses small amounts of ionizing radiation to produce an image of a body part. Our advanced technology uses the lowest possible dose of radiation to produce images of excellent quality that our radiologists can then interpret to help make an accurate diagnosis.

What to Remember:

  • An appointment is not required; walk-ins are welcome.
  • You may be asked to remove clothing or change into a gown.
  • Remove jewelry, eyewear, or any metallic objects in the area being imaged so they do not interfere with the interpretation.
  • If you are pregnant or believe you may be, please advise our staff ASAP.
